Chemotherapy Scheduling
Doctors can share an infusion order with any day-stay suite that uses OdysseyEMR. The nurse can then schedule one or more ordered charts according to frequency of the regimen. The dates will be automatically selected for approval by the nurse.
Treatment Protocols
OdysseyEMR has preloaded eviQ protocols which are regularly updated. These can be easily adopted and modified by each prescriber. The system also allows for customised protocols for clinical trials or for standard protocols not on eviQ.
Patient Monitoring
OdysseyEMR allows entry of vitals such as height, weight and creatinine to automatically calculate BSA and eGFR and therefore the dose of infusion. Users can round or cap calculated doses according to local practice. Alerts are given for significant changes in weight and creatinine level.
Clinical Documentation
The charting module allows nurses to enter clinical notes associated with a treatment. The system has standardised checklists for pre-chemotherapy assessment, venous devices, weight, urinalysis and linking laboratory results.

OdysseyEMR allows reports to detect significant variations in protocol doses given to individual patients.
Multidisciplinary Care
OdysseyEMR facilitates collaboration across oncology care teams since doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other clinicians involved in a patient's care can access critical clinical information even if they are at different geographical sites.
Safety & Compliance
OdysseyEMR has a full audit trail of activity within a patient's record as well as an audit of who and when someone accesses the system. Special restriction can be put in place for particular users for read only access which can be date limited. There is the ability to inactivate charts or put treatment on hold to reduce the chance of inappropriate treatment.
